| Description | Spray the Noxious Weeds in County Road Ditches Pursuant to SDLC 5-18-3, Hutchinson County will be accepting sealed bids to spray the County Road Ditches for noxious weeds. A performance bond of will be required. The Board of Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids. The Country Road 424th Avenue and all County Roads East consist of approximately 223 miles and approximately 1653 +/- acres. Requirements: Spraying will be from the edge of the roadbed to the fence line on both sides of all county roads. This includes spot spraying around signposts and all areas that cannot be reached by the truck booms. Finalization report will consist of the dates sprayed, locations sprayed, types of weeds sprayed, and what chemicals were used are required and shall be sent to the Hutchinson County Weed Supervisor, 201 W. Mentor St., Room 158, Olivet, South Dakota 57052. State and County noxious weeds are: Leafy Spurge, Perennial Sow Thistle, Spotted Knapweed, Hoary Crest, Canadian Thistle, Musk Thistle, Plumeless Thistle, Bull Thistle, Scotch Thistle, Purple Loosestrife, Salt Cedar and Absinth Wormwood. |
