Sealed bids will be received by the Fairhope Airport Authority, at Fairhope City Hall, for the furnishing of all labor and materials and performing all work for constructing the following contract: Project No. 1030509 Site Development & Construction Of East Terminal Building at H.L. 'Sonny' Callahan Airport Fairhope, Alabama Project Description - This award funds a portion of a project for the design and construction of a 4,148 square feet general aviation terminal building and associated site development on the east side of the airfield. Amount Awarded - $2,000,000 ______________________________________________________________ Project no: 21-051, AMOBB210024 GMC PROJECT GMOB210004 Major items of work include the site development and construction of a Terminal Building at the H.L. Sonny Callahan Airport. Approximate quantities include: 1. Terminal Building - 1 LS 2. Asphalt - 165 TON 3. Type N Concrete Curb - 670 LF 4. Fence - 225 LF The project shall be completed within 250 Calendar Days of the Issuance of Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages for this project shall be $500.00 per Calendar Day. A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal of 8% has been established for this project. The Owner's award of this contract is conditioned upon Bidder or Offeror satisfying the good faith effort requirements. As a condition of bid responsiveness, the Bidder or Offeror must submit the following information with their proposal on the forms provided herein: (1) The names and addresses of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms that will participate in the contract; (2) A description of the work that each DBE firm will perform; (3) The dollar amount of the participation of each DBE firm listed under (1) (4) Written statement from Bidder or Offeror that attests their commitment to use the DBE firm(s) listed under item (1) to meet the Owner's project goal; (5) If Bidder or Offeror cannot meet the advertised project DBE goal; evidence of good faith efforts undertaken by the Bidder or Offeror as described in appendix A to 49 CFR Part 26. Guarantee will be required with each bid as follows: At least 5% of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000), shall be filed in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to Fairhope Airport Authority. Contract bond will be required as follows: 100% of the contract price. Labor and Materials Bond will be required as follows: 100% of the contract price. No bids will be considered unless the bidder, whether resident or non-resident of Alabama, is properly qualified with the State of Alabama. In addition, non-residents of the State, if a corporation, shall show evidence of having qualified with the Secretary of State to do business in Alabama. No contract will be awarded unless the contractor holds a current and appropriate license from the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama. The Contractor shall provide proof of enrollment in E-Verify along with the bid. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 120 days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner.
