Description

1. The goal of the project is to ultimately utilize the sand and decomposed matter from the Stewart Beach vegetated seaweed stockpiles as material to elevate low areas of the Stewart Beach parking area to improve public safety and public access by preventing frequent ponding. This would be accomplished by ‘pushing’ the stockpile material into the parking areas and performing general grading into the low lying areas. 2. Existing emergency vehicular access to the beach front shall not be blocked. Public access to the beach park cannot be closed. Work will need to be staged so that sections of the park are still available for public access and parking. The contractor shall ensure that necessary safeguards (safety fencing, etc.) are in place to separate the general public from the active work areas within the park.
