Submit your bid with bidder's security equal to at least 10 percent of the bid. CADOT - Irrigation, Planting, Vehicle Charging System and Bridge Railing 1. Caltrans Contract No. 05-1P5384, Project ID# 0522000077 - Clean California State Beautification Program (AB-149) Project on State Route 166 between Postmiles 63.95 and 64.95 in the unincorporated community of New Cuyama in northeastern Santa Barbara County. 2. The purpose of this Clean California project is to beautify a small underserved rural community and highway/main street situated near the southern gateway to the Carrizo Plain National Monument and the Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuge. The design is intended to improve livability for residents, and to create a more eye-catching and favorable community impression to increase tourist business and support a more stable and vibrant local economy. 3. Construction work is anticipated to begin in November/December of 2022. 4. Work will be performed by a licensed contractor selected through the Caltrans competitive bid process. 5. Work on property underthejurisdictionofthe Cuyama Valley Recreation and Park District along Primero Street will include drought tolerant tree planting and a solar powered drip irrigation system, cultural interpretive displays and scenic viewfinders. 6. Installation will include traffic control and appropriate stormwater pollution prevention measures during construction. 7. The project will include a plant establishment period to ensure that all planting is alive and healthy through January 2026. 8.
