Description

The work consists of renovating an 890 ASF/ 987 GSF suite with classrooms located on the third floor of the existing Lowell E. Noland Hall. Lowell E. Noland Hall is located on the UW-Madison campus and was built in 1970. The existing six-story building was constructed to house the offices and teaching spaces for the zoology department. The proposed spaces that will be renovated are suite 365 and classroom 371. Suite 365 was formerly a dark room and is currently used for storage. The project will remove walls, ceiling, flooring, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and casework/equipment. The project includes a new instructional lab for various biology instructional lab approaches (molecular, cellular, neuro, limnology) making it a flexible space. The desired functionality and design necessitates major renovations of architectural and MEP components.
