Description

Complete all repairs and replacement of components as required in order to restore full functionality to the main gate. The existing slide gates are to remain. Mounting posts and pedestals for the gate operators and keypad may be re-used if they are compatible with new components and will not detrimentally affect the installation. Replace both gate operator/controller systems and their associated enclosures. The gate operators will be of a type and size that is appropriate to this application and are compatible with the existing slide gates. The gate operators shall include a feature to disengage the drive motor and open the gates manually. The controllers shall also include open/close/stop buttons within each enclosure, and these controls will be installed in a manner that prevents tampering from outside the gate. Replace the drive chains of both gates. Replace the call box, key pad, intercom, camera, and associated enclosure(s). The camera must be appropriate to this application and must allow duty personnel to see visitors clearly enough to verify their identity. Replace the in-ground loop vehicle detection system with an above ground optical vehicle detection system. This system will include vehicle detection for both sides of both gates. The system will open the appropriate gate when a vehicle is detected attempting to exit. The system will prevent the gates from closing while a vehicle is still in the zone between the gates. Inspect and adjust all components of both gates including rollers, trucks, slides, etc. Any component that is worn out or cannot be adjusted shall be replaced. Any component requiring grease or lubrication shall be lubricated. Inspect all components (keypad, call function/intercom, camera, vehicle detection system, etc.) for proper operation following installation. All old materials will be hauled off and disposed of by the contractor in accordance with local, State, and Federal regulations. Warranty: The contractor shall provide a warranty for all parts and labor for a period of 5 years from date of project completion/USCG acceptance of work.
