Description

The Town of Starkville will receive Bids for its Water System Improvements - CDBG Project #18-504 project consisting of two Schedules of Work. Schedule One Base Bid consists of 630 lineal feet (LF) of 8" PVC water lines with the tracer wire; 38 LF of 4" PVC water storage tank vault drain line; 70 LF of 6" PVC control valve piping; 90 LF of 2" HDPE open excavation water mains with tracer wire; 252 LF of 2" HDPE directional drilling with tracer wire; 10 - 8", 6" and 2" valves; 6 each (EA) connections to the existing water distribution system; 1 lump sum (LS) 4" dual check valve assembly; 1 LS removal of trees from new water main corridor; 1 LS 8' x 4' ID altitude valve and check valve vault at new tank site; 800 LF of Class "B" bedding; 1 EA locking mini tracer wire test box; 13 EA carsonite marker post; 1 LS new tank site work; 1 LS new tank access road grading; 835 square yards (SY) of 4-inch thick gravel surfacing; 1 LS 8" steel inlet and 8" steel outlet piping at new water tank; 1 LS 8" steel drain and 8" steel overflow piping; 1 LS if 21 LF of new water tank 8" ductile iron drain piping; 1 LS poured-in-place 38" thick x 23.45' outside diameter reinforced concrete ringwall foundation for new tank; 1 LS underground signal service from east side of tank to southeast corner of new altitude and check valve vault; flow control items including 70 LF of 6" control valve piping, 1 LS for 5-foot ID control valve manhole and 1 LS electrical service to new flow control manhole; and 1 LS native grass seeding. Schedule One, Additive Alternate No. 1 includes 1,010 LF of detectible metallic underground tape. Schedule One, Additive Alternate No. 2 includes 27 removal of existing meter pit, meter and pressure regulator and install new meter pit assembly, cellular read by -inch water meter with shutoff valve, dual cable end point, pressure regulator and insulation disc in the same location; 41 EA removal of existing meter pit, meter and pressure regulating valve and install new meter pit assembly, cellular read by -inch water meter with shutoff valve, dual cable end point, " x " spool piece, and new angle ball valve in the same location; 3 EA remove top of existing meter pit, meter and setter and fill with sand, install new meter pit assembly, cellular read by - inch meter with shutoff valve, dual cable end point, meter setter with dual cartridge check valve, pressure regulating valve, copper service line insulation disc in new location; 1 EA remove existing meter and pressure regulating valve, install new cellular read by -inch water meter with shutoff valve, dual cable end point, spool piece to replace regulator, frost proof cover and insulation disc in the existing meter pit; Provide to Owner 10 EA cellular read by -inch water meters with shutoff valves, dual cable end points, composite lids and copper setters; 10 EA lid and bracket for mounting end points under lid; and 10 EA copper setter. Schedule 2 Base Bid includes 1 LS for a new welded steel water storage tank consisting of furnishing and erecting a new 21.54-foot diameter by 34.22-foot shell height water storage tank with a nominal capacity of 93,300 gallons including disinfection and associated appurtenances. Schedule 2, Additive Alternate No. 1 includes 1 LS for a new bolted steel water storage tank, factory glass fused cobalt blue finish consisting of furnishing and erecting a new 21.54-foot diameter by 34.22-foot shell height water storage tank with a nominal capacity of 93,300 gallons including disinfection and associated appurtenances. Schedule 2, Additive Alternate No. 2 includes 1 LS for a new bolted steel water storage tank, factory powder fusion coated finish consisting of furnishing and erecting a new 21.54-foot diameter by 34.22-foot shell height water storage tank with a nominal capacity of 93,300 gallons including disinfection and associated appurtenances until and associated appurtenances. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Town of Starkville negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The requirements associated with this funding source include, but are not limited to, provisions for Davis Bacon wages that set forth the minimum salaries and wages within the contract documents that must be paid on the project
