Design-Build Services for the Water Transmission Main Improvements and Repairs Project

Design-Build services for the inspection, repair, and rehabilitation of high risk water transmission mains (Project). Proposers need to assemble a team of experts including at a minimum design, survey, geotechnical, environmental, permitting, and construction contractors. The project studies to date include analysis of the existing 24-inch PCCP WTM from Franklin WTP to Verhoff Dr. in Huntersville that identified immediate repair needs. In addition, the recently completed Water Distribution System Master Plan identified improvements to the water transmission system over the life of the master plan recommendations time frame. To optimize the function and resiliency of the existing transmission system, improvements and repairs are needed.
