Description | P-239, F-35 Flightline Utility Modernization Phase II, Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, North CarolinaThis work includes P239 F-35 Flightline Utility Modernization Phase II, Design Bid Build, Marine Corps Air Station MCAS, Cherry Point. P-239 will upgrade, renovate, and modernize base utilities in the core area to servefuture airfield facilities. Utility work includes fire protection lines, potable water lines, communication fiber and duct bank, sanitary sewer, electrical distribution lines, substation upgrades, industrial wastewater lines, natural gas,and steam distribution. Project is considered Phase 2 of 2. The project will separate the fire protection system for the deluge sprinkler and existing aqueous film forming foam systems flight line buildings from the existing potablewater system. The new fire distribution system will include pipeline, fire pumps, fire pump buildings and water storage facilities. The potable water distribution system along A Street will be resized to correct the hydraulics andimprove water quality to the existing buildings. This project will also include new water service connections, advanced meters and the connection to the existing system along A Street. Elevated water storage tanks will berepaired and/or replaced to support the hydraulic changes. Communications pathways consisting of fiber, duct banks, manholes, and cable will be constructed along A Street. Infrastructure will be modernized to support ALIS.Provide hardware installation/replacement, new splices, expand vault and additional coring. Sanitary sewer system will be a gravity collection system to replace the aged wastewater collection mains, pump station and lift stations. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
