Parking Lot Resurfacing - Collierville Schools

Locations: Schilling Farms Elementary, 935 Colbert Street South, Collierville, TN 38017, Sycamore Elementary, 1155 Sycamore Road, Collierville, TN 38017 General Specifications: 1. Locate and mark utilities, manholes, cleanouts, etc. and protect as needed to prevent damage. 2. Apply for permits as needed. 3. Protect all storm water inlets as needed to prevent sediment run-off. 4. Verify elevations to ensure adequate draining. Finished surface elevation to tie to existing concrete gutters, where applicable. Adjust as needed. 5. Paint/Stripe parking lots as previously marked, including striped game areas (hopscotch, 4- square, etc.). MPI No. 97 Latex Traffic Marking Paint. Stripes and hatching – white; Lane dividers and Directional Arrows – yellow; ADA signs – blue; ADA spaces to be ADA complaint; Fire alarm curbs to be repainted in all work areas. Schilling Farms (Lot A): 1. Clean parking lot to remove all dirt, debris, loose material, etc. 2. Seal all cracks with Crafco rubberized crack sealer, or equivalent. 3. Seal coat using Sealmaster asphalt emulsion, or equivalent. 4. Apply products using Manufacturers Recommendations. Schilling Farms Elementary (Lot B), Sycamore Elementary (Lots A, B, C): 1. Cold mill existing asphalt to a depth of 2”. 2. Proof-roll base and mark soft spots for removal. 3. Undercut marked areas and patch with 10” compacted CTB. 4. No more than 24 hours prior to paving, apply a CSS-1 tack coat at manufacturer’s suggested rates. 5. Install TDOT 411E asphalt wearing course to a compacted depth of 2”. Perform rolling in consecutive passes to ensure smooth finish with no roller marks.
