Description

As of 5/18/23, all bids rejected. A timeline for the rebid has not yet been established. Interior Alterations at Multiple Schools Neither the Owner, nor the Architect will assume any responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days from the opening of the bids. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms provided in the manner designated and must comply with all requirements contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids shall be placed in a sealed envelope with the name of the project clearly marked on the front of the envelope and accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent 10% of the bid, but not more than $20,000. Due to the special nature of the work involved that can only be seen by an in-depth visitation, the attendance of all the bidders is ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 001113 - 1 Spiezle Architectural Group, Inc. requested and STRONGLY ENCOURAGED as an integral and important element of the bidding process so that all bidders have an equal understanding of the scope of work involved. SINGLE-OVERALL CONTRACT BID Sealed Bid Proposals shall be received as follows: The bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in the following trade(s): C008 GENERAL CONSTRUCTION odorOR C009 GENERAL CONSTRUCTION/ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS In addition, the Bidder shall be classified in, or engage a properly classified subcontractor for each trade listed in which the Bidder is not so classified: Structural Steel C029, C030 Plumbing, C032 Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning and C047 Electric. Each bid must be accompanied by proof of Contractor's DPMC classification status. Bidders are required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq., "The Law Against Discrimination," and affirmative action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.AC. 17:27-1 et seq. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. Prior to award, bidder must provide a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, and a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue for the bidder and all subcontractors (i.e., "named subcontractors") whose prices are included in the Contractor's bid. Pursuant to P.L. 2009, c.315 and/or N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 Business Registration of Public Contractors, Prior to award, bidder and all named subcontractors must provide a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue of the Bidder and must include that of all subcontractors i.e., "named subcontractors", whose prices are included in the Contractor's bid. If not included with the bid, these documents must be submitted prior to award. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and waive any minor informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law, N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22, if it is in the best interest of the Owner.
