Description

PLEASE NOTE: this project is now bidding to the prequalified general contractors who submitted during the RFQ process that completed September 2022. Per Addendum2, Inquiry Deadline has been extended to EOD on February 20, 2023. SCOPE: The goals of this project are to construct the following at the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP): (1) a new chemical phosphorus removal (Chem-P) system to meet new discharge limits and (2) new high efficiency blower improvements.Major improvements to the WWTP related to Chem-P: - Chemical truck delivery area with containment and stormwater protection - Chemical phosphorus coagulant storage and feed building (pre-engineered metal building housing FRP storage tanks, chemical containment, and chemical metering pumps) supported by structural piers - Pipe infrastructure to support coagulant dosing at multiple locations in the WWTP process - Revitalizing the existing Soda Ash facility for supplemental alkalinity/pH control Major improvements to the WWTP related to the high efficiency blower improvements: - Structural work including, but not limited to, demolition of portions of existing floor slab around -the concrete blower pads, widening of the existing blower pads, and construction of new concrete slab. - Mechanical work including, but not limited to, removal of two (2) existing multi-stage centrifugal (MSC) blowers and appurtenances, furnishing and installation of two (2) Direct-Drive Single-Stage Centrifugal Blower Packages and appurtenances. - Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control work including, but not limited to, replacement of existing section of motor control center, removal of electrical equipment associated with existing MSC blowers, and installation of new power and instrumentation conduit for new blowers. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
