Description | A. Work Summary: The South Park Wave Pool Repairs project is defined by the Construction Documents and Specifications. A general summary of Work is as follows: 1. Provide labor, materials, and equipment required to Perform Work under following Prime Contracts: a. Plumbing Contract: The work covered by this contract involves various repairs to the wave pool piping including lining of non-pressure pipes and alternates for lining of pressure piping and replacing piping, as well as replacement of outdated pool pumps and other equipment. 2. Remove and Dispose of Existing: a. Concrete slab on grade b. Piping and pool equipment. 3. Furnish and Install: a. CIPP lining of non-pressure lines b. Pool plumbing repairs c. Pool equipment replacement d. Excavation and backfill e. Concrete slabs on grade f. Site Restoration Various repairs to the wave pool plumbing fixtures, as well as replacement of outdated pool pumps and other equipment. Submit bids on this project in compliance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. If that or any portion thereof is finally determined by a court to be invalid and unenforceable, any savings realized by the Contractor as a result of such invalidation accrue to the benefit of the Department or its designee. The prospective bidder agrees, by submitting this bid, to make payroll records available for audit by the County. In the event that the bidder fails to afford the Department or its design the benefit of any savings realized under this paragraph the Department will have the right to withhold payments from this or any other contract in an amount equal to the savings realized plus interest. A bid bond ensures that on acceptance of a bid by the County the contractor will proceed with the contract. Bidder shall submit with proposal a bid bond on County form for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid price (including add alternates and optional items or years). In lieu of bid bond, the bidder may make out a cashier's check or certified check or irrevocable letter of credit made payable to the county for this same percentage. The County shall take payment on the check or bond if the bidder fails to sign the Contract Documents within thirty (30) calendar days of the date of the Notice of Award; or, within a longer time, if the County specified a longer time in the Notice of Award to compensate the County for its loss, damage, cost and expense. reserves the right, upon notice to the supplier, to extend the Contract or any part of the Contract for up to three (3) months, upon the same terms and conditions after the indicated expiration date as described in the Contract. This will be utilized to prevent a lapse in Contract coverage for the goods or services indicated on the Contract, and only for the time necessary to enter into a new Contract. When applicable, an extension notice will be issued defining the exact extension of the Contract; all other terms and conditions of the extended Contract will remain in full force and effect.
