Installation of an LP Fired Generac Automatic Electric Generator

16KW Generac generator with battery and with 100-amp Service rated automatic transfer switch installed. Generator to be set on a pressure treated pea stone filled base as per site survey, cable/flexible conduit to be run between the generator and building. The transfer switch will be mounted and wired to the left of main panel in the basement, wiring and grounding to be completed as per NEC. Cold weather accessories including an oil heater kit and a battery heater kit to be installed. Contractor will coordinate with National Grid to perform a service disconnect/reconnect to allow required wiring to be completed. Upon completion of the electrical wiring a qualified inspection agency will inspect the completed work and contact National Grid for reconnection. The power must be disconnected for less than 1 day to allow the installation of the automatic transfer switch and to ensure continuation of town operations. Upon completion of the wiring and propane fuel connection contractor will perform a simulated power outage testing the proper operation of the generator and transfer switch, at which time the installation will be considered to be complete. Contractor will perform the first oil change after 1 year or 25 hours of run time, whichever comes first, as per Generac r e c o m m e n d a t i o n s .
