Mayfield Intermediate Roof Replacement

Roof replacement project at Mayfield Intermediate School in Manassas, VA. Refer to the appropriate specification section for further information about installation methods and components to be provided. In general, the work includes, but is not limited to, the following items: 1. Remove and dispose of existing roofing systems and components, including felts, bowed or warped plywood deck (Unit Price), and associated materials and components down to structural deck unless otherwise noted (Division 02 Section “Selective Structure Demolition”). 2. Resecure existing plywood decking and provide new plywood decking at damaged locations. Cut plywood at locations requiring venting and/or expansion joints (Division 06 Section “Rough Carpentry”). 3. Provide asphalt shingles, underlayment and accessories (Division 07 Section “Asphalt Shingles”). 4. Provide perimeter and penetration sheet metal flashing and counterflashings and miscellaneous sheet metal fabrications (Division 07 Section “Flashing and Sheet Metal”). 5. Provide sealant and backer rod at vertical control joints as indicated on Drawings (Division 07 Section “Joint Sealants”). 6. Disconnect and reconnect existing mechanical/electrical components to restore proper operation to rooftop equipment following installation of roofing (Division 23 Section “Mechanical/Electrical General Requirements”).
