Description | The Work will include the following: - Construction of a new 6.8 MG rectangular reinforced concrete drinking water reservoir at the 5200 West 6200 South reservoir site (adjacent to the existing circular 2 MG reservoir). - Construction of vaults and yard piping improvements, and connections to transmission piping. - Excavation to construct the new tank within the limits of the site; backfill and grading; construction of new access road and site improvements. - Connections to existing 2 MG finished water reservoir drain and overflow. - New reservoir instrumentation and controls. - Site landscaping. The project must maintain operation of the existing 2 MG Finished Water Reservoir during construction of the new 6.8 MG Finished Water Reservoir, except for specified shutdown periods for demolition and connection activities. Programming and SCADA integration will be performed by an approved Contractor retained by the Owner under separate contract, and will not be included in the construction contract for the new reservoir. Documents defined above are for review only. After reviewing the prequalification documents and preliminary plans, all communications and questions relative to the Work shall be directed to the office of the Engineer. Contractors are advised that technical and contractual changes to the construction plans and specifications are anticipated prior to bidding. Prequalification will not exempt a Contractor from meeting any of the requirements of the Contract Documents. The Contractor's prequalification statement is not part of the Contract Documents.
