| Description | The fire station alerting system is critical for fire stations to be immediately notified of an emergency that has been called into a dispatch unit. Once the dispatcher has acquired enough detail, the incident information is relayed via the computer aided dispatch (CAD) system to the fire stations. The CAD system interfaces with the fire alerting system and transmits colored lighting dependent on the incident type and a recorded or robotic voice to make announcements including incident detail through all audio speakers within the fire station. The eight City of Roseville fire stations are currently equipped with Comtech hardware for fire station alerting that is integrated with New World software and applications. |
