FAI 290 (Eisenhower Expressway) at Leavitt Street and Ashland Avenue Structures, Phase II Project

The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultant the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on October 25, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Region One/ District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase II engineering services are required for the improvements of Leavitt Street and Ashland Avenue bridge structures over I-290 (Eisenhower Expressway). The Consultant's work is expected to consist of preparing contract plans, specifications, and estimates for the bridge superstructure replacement of the existing Leavitt Street and Ashland Avenue Bridges over the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290). The Consultant's work may include topographic survey, drainage design, bridge and approach roadway design, underpass lighting, traffic signal modernization and interconnect as well as other structural tasks as determined by the department. The proposed improvement will consist of replacement of the existing bridge superstructures, parapets, and approach slabs under a full detour for Leavitt Street and staged construction for Ashland Avenue in addition to substructure repairs and all other incidental work required to complete Phase II contract plans. The completion date for this contract will be 18 months after authorization to proceed.
