Description

Water District 2 - Water Meter Replacement (Installation) The minimum rates of wages and schedule of supplements to be provided for the various trades shall be in accordance with the Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule which is attached to the Contract Documents. Any questions regarding billing should be directed to NYSDOL Administrative Finance Bureau-PWEF Unit at (518) 457-3624 and any questions regarding Public Work Contracts should be directed to the Bureau of Public Work at (518) 457-5589. If the said Contractor shall neglect, fail or refuse to complete the work within the time herein specified, or any proper extension thereof granted by the Owner, then the Contractor does hereby agree, as a part consideration for the awarding of this Contract, to pay to the Owner the sum of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) plus engineering charges, not as a penalty but as liquidated damages for such breach of Contract as hereinafter set forth, for each and every calendar day (not including Sunday), that the Contractor shall be in default after the time stipulated in the Contract for completing the work. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond acceptable to the Owner, in an amount equal to at least 5% of the Proposal, payable without condition to the Owner, as a guaranty that the Bidder The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals or to waive any informality or technicality in any Proposal in the interest of the Owner.
