Description

Project Description: Design and construct a multi-deck parking facility housing approximately 300 parking spaces at the southeast corner of Monon Green Boulevard and Veterans Way, together with garage entrances and exits, ramps and drives, elevator lobbies, and related facilities (“Garage”). The Garage: (a) is a “Parking Facility” and a “Public Improvement” as defined by applicable statute. The east and south faces of the garage will be exposed to view and are expected to be constructed using materials which complement the surrounding architecture, including the future Onyx + East Me´lange condominium structure (“Condos”) which will surround the garage on the north and west sides. The north and west walls will be constructed as fire separation walls as part of the Project. Finished floor elevations and pedestrian access at each floor will need to be closely coordinated with the design of the Condos. The Condos will require 48 gated parking spaces within the Project, located at grade, including rough-ins for 24 electronic vehicle (“EV”) charging stations. A pedestrian door will be required from the gated parking area to the main lobby of the Condos. All power for the Condos EV stations and gates will be separately metered to the Condos with power provided by the Condos. The southwest stair and elevator tower will be fully enclosed and constructed with the Project. Both must provide access to the garage and all 4 floors of the adjacent Condos. Bike parking will be required in accordance with City of Carmel requirements.
