Description | The City of Boyd, OWNER, is requesting competitive sealed proposals from qualified manufacturers for GENERATOR AND AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH for the CEMETERY RD. 2.16 MGD PUMP STATION project. An electronic copy of the construction plans, contract documents and specifications may be obtained free of charge from the Belcheff Project Document Library by going to City website. The purpose of this request for proposals is to select this certain equipment by the competitive price proposal process in accordance with Texas Local Government Code Chapter 252. After reviewing all proposals submitted and checking references on the low proposer or to the proposer who provides equipment at the best value, it is the OWNERs intent to enter a purchase contract with the selected equipment manufacturer. The OWNER further intends to order the preparation of equipment submittals and manufacturer prepared shop drawings, review and approve same, and authorize fabrication and assembly of equipment. After fabrication and assembly has begun and before delivery, OWNER intends to enter a separate contract with a general construction contractor for installation of the equipment. Prior to delivery, OWNER intends to assign the purchase contract to the general construction contractor in order to ultimately have a single source of responsibility for installation and performance of the equipment. The OWNER has determined that utilizing this procurement method should result in expediting the overall project completion time for the Cemetery Rd. 2.16 MGD Pump Station project. The City reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. This contract is contingent upon release of funds from the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). The successful proposer shall demonstrate adequate and substantial documented experience in the disciplines necessary for providing the equipment for the project. Appropriate instructions and proposer experience requirements are described elsewhere in the bound contractual documents. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check of the proposer, or a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the proposal amount and subject to the conditions provided in the Notice to Proposers. No proposer may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of opening. |
