Description | Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, tools, travel, and any incidentals necessary to provide annual maintenance, inspection, and routine and non-routine repairs to a 1500 KW (kilowatt) Caterpillar Diesel Generator Model 3512 and Fire Pump Model 4084-7312, in accordance with manufacturer's standards. California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is committed to meeting the State's 25 percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. Certified SBs, Micro Businesses (MB), SBs for the purpose of Public Works (SB-PW), and contractors willing to commit to subcontracting a minimum of twenty-five percent (25%) of their net bid price to certified SBs, MBs (if applicable), or SB-PWs, are encouraged to submit bids. A Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) goal is not required, but DVBE participation is encouraged, and a DVBE incentive may apply to this IFB. This Agreement requires Prevailing Wages if the total bid amount exceeds $15,000. If the total bid amount is under $15,000, then Prevailing Wage language will be removed prior to award. The Payment Bond is not required at the time of bid submittal; however, it is required, as applicable, prior to the start date of the Service Request. Caltrans reserves the right to reject all bids for reasonable cause. |
