Structure Replacements, Culvert A: No. 5103-0050 Second Narrows Road Over Cold Spring Run, Culvert B: No. 5103-0051 Laurel Run Road Over Cold Spring Run Forest District 3 Toboyne Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania Work included under this contract consists of the removal of the existing structures carrying Second Narrows Road and Laurel Run Road over Cold Spring Run consisting of an (approximate) 44" x 62" corrugated metal pipe (Second Narrows Road) and 38" x 56" corrugated metal pipe (Laurel Run Road). The replacement for each structure will consist of a precast reinforced concrete box culvert and precast reinforced concrete end sections. The proposed replacement structure at Culvert A (Second Narrows Road) will consist of a 17'-0" normal clear span precast reinforced box culvert at 70-degree skew, with 6' rise (depressed 2') and providing a 14 clear roadway width. Work also includes the replacement of the driving surface aggregate, associated guiderail, rock lining and architectural surface treatment to the exposed faces of the headwalls and wingwalls. The proposed replacement structure at Culvert B (Laurel Run Road) will consist of a 10'-0" normal clear span precast reinforced box culvert at 50-degree skew, with 6' rise (depressed 2') and providing an 18' clear roadway width. Work also includes the replacement of the driving surface aggregate, associated guiderail, rock lining and architectural surface treatment to the exposed faces of the headwalls and wingwalls.
