Description | To provide snow and ice removal services for the Douglas County Depart of Corrections (DCDC) campus and Douglas County Health Center (DCHC) Right is reserved to accept or reject any or all bids in their entirety and the bidders shall have the right to appeal any decision to the Douglas County Board of Commissions. Questions regarding this bid should be sent via email to bidquestions@douglascounty-ne.gov. Vendor must include the bid title and company name in the subject line. Answers to questions will be posted via an addendum no later than the Friday before bid opening at www.douglascountypurchasing.org. The specifications describe snow and ice removal services needed for the following facilities: 1. DCDC is located at 17th and Jackson Street, Omaha, NE. The campus is bounded by Leavenworth Street on the south, 19th Street on the west, Jackson Street on the north, and 16th Street on the east. Most of this campus operates 24/7, and snow and ice removal services will be coordinated accordingly by Douglas County Public Properties (DCPP). 2. DCHC campus is located at 4102 Woolworth Ave., Omaha, NE. The campus is bounded generally by Woolworth Avenue on the south, 42nd Street on the West, Pacific Street on the north, and Field Club Trail on the East. Within the campus are designated priority areas for snow and ice removal that will be handled by the selected contractor, generally during the late afternoon, evening, and early morning time frames, as coordinated by the DCES staff. Portions of the campus operate 24/7 and snow and ice removal will be coordinated accordingly. Term of the agreement will be for one (1) year from date of award and bids must remain firm for the duration of that term. Contract may be extended at the sole option of Douglas County Environmental Services (DCES) for two (2) additional one-year periods. In the event of unsatisfactory service, DCES reserves the right to cancel this contract and to enlist the next qualified bidder. The term shall commence upon County Board approval and award, and subsequent issuance of a Purchase Order by the City-County Purchasing Agent. Termination within this initial term, or any optional terms, if extended, is subject to Item 10 of these specifications. |
