Description | As of May 8, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline or award has not yet been established. Generally, the work includes remodel of an existing building for the office and autopsy suite of the Sangamon County Coroner including site work, building additions, interior build-out, elevator installation, structural work, electrical, mechanical, & plumbing systems, sprinkler modifications, security system install and furnishings as identified in the bid documents. 1. Properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate. 2. Bid Deposit in the amount of 10% of Bid. 3. Not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes, Ch. 489, Sec. 39s-1 et. seq. All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act". Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the Office of the State of Illinois Department of Labor, telephone (217) 782-6206. All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989. Certification is located on the Bid Form, Section 00 50 00, of the Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, bank draft, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 10% of Bid, made payable to the Sangamon County Board. Failure of Bidders to submit bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of bid. The Successful Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U.S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Sangamon County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening of bids without written consent of the Owner.
