Description | The scope of work for this Project entails of the construction of a single-story steel structure with a composite slab foundation. A small mechanical mezzanine is also provided. The exterior finish materials will consist of stucco and large glass storefront areas and a standing seam metal roof. A covered porch is provided at the rear the building. The building will have exterior metal frame doors and windows. Interior construction will be metal stud framing and gypsum wallboard type construction. Finishes include polished concrete, tile, carpet and resilient flooring, painted and tile wall finishes, and exposed or acoustical tile ceilings. Special systems include, but are not limited to, HVAC system, plumbing, mechanical, electrical services, exterior lighting, fire protection and alarm systems, security, A/V, data and communication cabling, water, storm drainage. Site improvements include concrete sidewalks, asphalt driveways and parking areas, vehicular drop off area, drainage improvements, low water use landscaping, and site accessibility for individuals with disabilities and any other work required for the completion of the project as designed in the project plans and specifications. The contract award for this project is tentatively scheduled for City Council consideration in September 2021. Construction is estimated to be completed in November 2022. Additionally, one (1) deductive alternate and five (5) additive alternates are also being proposed.
