2021 Castle High School HVAC Replacement

Project Description: HVAC re-placements in three areas of Castle High School as follows: Replace AHU-6 (Main Office), Remove and replace AHU-6 servicing the Main Office. The new AHU-6 (owner provided) will be up-sized to include servicing the Principal's Office, two Conference Rooms, & Kitchenette Area that are currently serviced by AHU-1 VAV induction terminals. Replace AHU-1 First Floor VAV Induction Terminals. Remove and replace all AHU-1 first floor VAV induction terminals with electric reheat (quantity of approximately 46) with new parallel fan-powered VAV terminals with electric reheat. Replace HVAC System in the Main Gym. Remove 14 existing heat only AHU and eight existing relief louvers and replace with two 60 ton packaged DX rooftop units(owner provided) with electric heat. Provide new double-wall painted flat oval ductwork, grilles & diffusers. Rework existing power feeds to new HVAC units and install duct detector fire alarm wiring. Reinforce existing roof structure and infill upper level floor where ductwork was removed. Infill 20 exterior wall openings with 1” insulated glass. Replace existing split-system in Trainer's Office.
