Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) herein issues solicitation 15BFA023B00000042 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Replace Cooling Towers, at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Greenville, located in Greenville, Illinois. FCI Greenville is a federally owned facility located at 100 U.S. Hwy 40 and 4th Street, Greenville, IL 62246. The project consists of the following: The contractor shall be responsible for removing and disposing of 2 existing cooling towers. Provide and install 2 new domestically sourced cooling towers with stainless steel basins. Access to the specifications and drawings attachments will require an active https://sam.gov vendor registration (log in) AND may require a specific role or domain linked to your registration. Interested bidders must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://sam.gov. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated of the project lies between $250,000 to $500,000 (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors) with a corresponding small business size standard of $19 million. The solicitation is set aside exclusively for small business contractors. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the website at https://sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The website provides download instructions. All bidders shall bid/offer in accordance with the current solicitation to include all amendments (if any) as issued by the Contracting Officer only. A pre-bid conference and are scheduled for Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 9:00am local time, at FCI Greenville, 100 U.S. Hwy 40, Greenville, IL 62246. Attendance is not (see provision 52.236-27 Alternate-I of the solicitation). Criminal History Check will be required for all attendees. The authorization for release of information (Form BP-A0660 Criminal History Check, attached) shall be completed for each attendee and emailed to pelders@bop.gov by 9:00 A.M. CST on Friday, September 15, 2023. Please include Replace Cooling Towers in the subject line. The forms must include a cover letter indicating they are for the Replace Cooling Towers: Company name and list of individuals from the company who will be attending.
