Lightening Protection System Upgrade at PBA

Design and provide overhead wire lightning protection system for buildings 33-420 and 44-130 compliant with NFPA, national electric code, NFPA 780, UL Standard 96, AR 385-10/PAM 385-64, AMC 385-10 and MIL-HDBK-1004/6 lightning protection. All materials to be installed shall be new, free of defect, and in compliance with the specifications and drawings within this solicitation and resulting contract. All materials and workmanship shall be subject to the approval of the contracting officer or the contracting officer’s representative. Overhead ground wire material shall be constructed of copper. The overhead ground wire shall be a minimum diameter of 1/2 in. (13 mm) and shall be self-supporting with minimum sag under all conditions. Measure ground resistance by rate of fall of potential method and provide sufficient grounding to assure 25 OHM resistance to ground. Obtain a master label certificate of compliance from Underwriter’s Laboratories INC (UL) certifying UL Inspection and that the lightning protection systems installed are in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
