One campus, Upstate University Hospital, located at 750 East Adams Street, Syracuse, New York, represents the region's only tertiary care teaching hospital. Upstate University Hospital is a 752-bed inpatient care facility. Upstate University Hospital provides highly specialized inpatient and outpatient services, with approximately 19,000 admissions each year. Approximately 56,000 visits are recorded in Upstate University Hospital's (UH) two (2) emergency rooms (pediatric and adult) annually, and its sixty-two (62) clinics record over 120,000 annual visits. Upstate University Hospital is one of four hospitals in the SUNY System and serves the seventeen (17) county Central New York Region. Upstate University Hospital serves as a regional referral center for professional education, patient care and biomedical research.
