Description

It should not be used for estimation purposes at this time.** **PLEASE NOTE: Plans and specifications are for viewing purposes only and in order to be considered an official bidder contractors must obtain plans and specifications from Goodwyn Mills & Cawood Inc. Please also fill out the order form if it is in the ITB and email that form to the GMC contact** Taxiway Rehabilitation at Mac Crenshaw Memorial Airport. Major items of work include: Rehabilitate Parallel Taxiway and Connectors with a Surface Treatment, Asphalt, Overlay, Remarking and Minor Shoulder Grading. Extend Runway 15-33 1,000 ft on north end with Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete (HMA) Repave existing runway with HMA Relocate Runway 33 Glide Slope Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid, but not to exceed $50,000. The bid guaranty may be by certified check or bid bond made payable to the City of Greenville. All Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Engineer; the Bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying the license number on the outside of the envelope in which the Proposal is delivered. "A contractor must have a Heavy and Railroad major license or a Heavy and Railroad specialty license to bid as prime for this project." A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal of 9.90% Bids may be held by the City of Greenville for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract. Award of contract is subject to requirements in the contract documents including, but not limited to, the following Federal provisions: 1) Buy American Preference 2) Civil Rights - Title VI Assurances 3) Equal Employment Opportunity 4) Davis Bacon 5) Debarment and Suspension 6) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise 7) Foreign Trade Restriction 8) Lobbying Federal Employees 9) Recovered Materials A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal of 9.90% has been established for this project.
