Townline Dam - Dike Demo and Removal

Complete removal of an 8-bay concrete drop control structure and earthen dikes at the Townline Creek Dam including clearing, minor grading, and restoration of approximately 4,065 foot access route; placement of soil erosion and sedimentation control devices; controlled lowering of impoundment water level by removal of beaver debris and stop logs; excavation of earthed dikes; site grading; concrete drop control structure demolition including pedestrian sidewalk slab, fencing, piers, stop logs, abutments, wingwalls, base and sheet piling and removal of concrete debris off-site; shape and grade new creek channel; placement of natural channel cobble mix; restoration of all disturbed areas with live staking and native seeding. Pre-bid location:m, starting at a parking area located on the east side of Old US Hwy 27 approximately 12 miles south of West Lake City Road in Houghton Lake. After the initial meeting we will continue by vehicle on a seasonal road approximately 0.5 miles then turning south onto a dirt trail and continue for approximately 1.5 miles to a cul-de-sac where we will park the vehicles. (Longitude: 44d 09m 41.48 s; Latitude: 84d 46m 36.07m) From this point we are required to walk to the dam site. The walking route has been well flagged and meanders approximately 4,000 feet to the dam site.
