Professional Services for Construction Engineering and Inspection of 5th Street Bridge Replacement Project

This project involves replacement of the existing bridge, Bridge No. 795701, which is the only access to a residential area over the Yacht Club Cut in New Smyrna Beach, Volusia County. The bridge will be replaced with a new three span concrete structure consisting of 2.5-ft shoulders, two 9-ft travel lanes, 5-ft pedestrian sidewalk, spanning approximately 160-ft in length. During the construction phase, a two lane vehicular Acrow bridge shall be installed on the south side of the existing bridge structure. The consulting firm selected shall be responsible to provide Professional Construction Engineering and Inspection Services associated with the installation of the Acrow bridge, as well as the removal and replacement of the permanent bridge, either in-house or outsourced to sub-contractor. The firm must have engineers, surveyors, inspectors, and any other professional personnel who are registered and licensed in the State of Florida, as required, to perform the duties necessary to complete the various services for this project with the Prime Consultant required to be prequalified Group 10 CEI, more specifically 10.4: Minor Bridge and Miscellaneous Structures, and either the Prime Consultant or their Sub-Consultants being prequalified for 10.1: Roadway CEI, and 10.3: Construction Materials Inspection.
