Description | The Work for Contract 2022-1 is generally described to include installation of approximately 8,864 lineal feet of 2- and 3-inch HDPE water main and appurtenances; reconnection of approximately 40 service lines, and restoration. A certified check or bank draft, payable to Palmer Shores Water Association, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to 10% of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The Contractor must abide by all laws and regulations applicable to USDA funded public contracts, including but not limited to equal employment opportunity. Pennsylvania prevailing wages will apply. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. The de minimis and minor components waiver applies to this contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
