Alpac Elementary HVAC Improvements

Contract which includes Mechanical and Electrical Work, required to improve the HVAC system at Alpac Elementary. The project consists of replacement of the aging gas fired hot water heating boiler, pumps and system appurtenances with two new condensing boilers. Existing classroom heating only unit ventilators will remain in place to provide tempered ventilation air and economizer cooling. An exterior variable refrigerant flow heat pump with piped refrigerant to ceiling cassettes will provide zone heating and cooling. New LED 2x4 troffers will provide code required occupancy and daylighting controls. Bids received after the time fixed above for receiving bids cannot be considered. A certified check, a bank cashier's check, or a bid bond executed by a State licensed surety company and payable to the Auburn School District #408 is required with each bid, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Pursuant to RCW 39.12, no worker, laborer, or mechanic employed in the performance of any part of this contract shall be paid less than the Prevailing Rate of Wage (in effect as of the date the bids are due) as determined by the Industrial Statistician of the Department of Labor and Industries. : The Owner shall have the right to reject any or all bids for any reason or for no reason, to reject a Bid not accompanied by required bid security or by other data required by the Bidding Documents, or to reject a Bid which is in any way incomplete or irregular. The Owner shall have the right to waive any informality or irregularity in any Bid or Bids received and to accept the Bid or Bids which, in itsj udgment, is in its own best interests The Bid, bid security, and any other documents required to be submitted with the Bid shall be enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope identified with the Project name and the Bidder's name and address. A bid may not be withdrawn after the stated time and date for opening thereof or before award of Contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding 45 calendar days from the date of bid opening.
