Description | The Bid consists of annual contract for various sanitary sewer repair work and service lateral connection installations for the Long Branch Sewerage Authority. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cash or bid bond in an amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000, payable to the Authority without any conditional endorsement as guarantee that, if the contract is awarded to the Bidder, he will, within ten (10) days thereafter, execute such contract and furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the Bidder. No interest shall be allowed upon any certified check or cash. Each bid must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a bonding company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey guaranteeing that, if the proposal of the Bidder is accepted, they will furnish a Performance Bond in the face amount of the bid and the acceptance of the bid is contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid received, and to reject any and/or all bids as in its judgment may best serve the interest of the Authority. The Authority shall have a maximum of sixty (60) days from the receipt of bids to either accept or reject same. The Authority reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective Bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before furnishing proposal forms or specifications or before awarding the contract. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the following: A. Affirmative Action requirements (P.L. 1975, C.127, N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et. seq.). B. The provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et. seq). C. Anti-Kickback Regulations under Section 2 of the Act of June 13, 1934, known as the Copeland Act. D. Worker and Community Right-to-Know Act (N.J.S.A. 34:5A-1). E. Anti-Drug/Alcohol plan in accordance with 49 CFR Parts 40, 199 and 391. F. Business Registration Act Registration G. Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran as required by N.J.S.A 40A:11-2.1 H. Public Contractors Registration Act I. Addendum Acknowledgement J. Names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10% or more of the stock in accordance with the provisions of the Public Disclosure Law (P.L. 1988, c.33, N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2). |
