Description

1. The Barr Hammock 2021 timber sale is a per ton harvest of 311 acres comprised of a marked 5th row with selection (Stand A), a marked 2nd row with intermittent selection (Stand B), a small selection only harvest (Stand C) and a 3rd row marked harvest with no selection (Stand D). 2. Stand A (Attachments 1a and 1b) is 230 acres comprised of 2001 through 2005 planted slash pine, and timber to be removed from this stand includes every fifth row and all pines marked with blue paint. Rows to be cut are painted with two blue dots and selected trees to be cut are painted with a single blue dot. 3. Stand B (Attachment 1a) is 68 acres comprised of 2005 planted slash pine. Timber to be removed from this stand includes every 2nd row, with some intermittently marked pines between the cut rows. Rows to be harvested are painted with two blue dots and intermittently flagged with orange and black striped flagging. The first tree of each cut row is painted with a vertical blue line. 4. Stand C (Attachment 1b) is 6 acres comprised of 2012 slash pine and is selection only. Trees to be harvested in this stand are painted with a single blue dot. 5. Stand D (Attachment 1b) is 6 acres comprised of 2001 planted slash pine and is a marked 3rd row harvest with no selection. 6. Estimated volumes to be removed are 6,703 tons of Pine Pulpwood, 2,326 tons of Pine Chip-n-saw, and 252 tons of Pine Sawtimber. A per ton price for each product class is required from the Respondent. The per ton price for each product class must be entered on the BID FORM. 7. Additional timber within the sale area may be designated for removal by the County Project Manager during the harvest.
