Belmont Lift Station and Forcemain

This project will design and construct a pump station and pipelines that will enable the City of Belmont to send its sanitary sewer flow to the Charlotte Water collection system. This project is included in the city's 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). In November 2022, the City of Charlotte selected an engineer for design services. _______________________________________________ Charlotte Water (CLTWater) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified companies (Company) to provide engineering services for the Belmont Lift Station and Forcemain Project (Project). The delivery method for the Belmont facilities will be using Design-Bid-Build delivery. Charlotte Water reserves the ability to change the phasing method utilized, however at this time, Charlotte Water anticipates to complete the design in two phases: Phase 1) design of the pump station and related infrastructure at Belmont WWTP site, and Phase 2) design of the forcemains. The initial design contract is anticipated to include detailed design, Phase 1 detailed design services and some early portion of Phase 2 Services. The design contract would be amended later for the remainder of the Phase 2 services as well as Construction Phase services for both Phase 1 and Phase 2. It is anticipated that there will be separate construction bids/contracts for each phase. Funding for Phase 2 design will not be available until FY24 (July 1, 2023).
