Description

Scope of Project: Approximately 30,810 cubic yards of excavation for detention pond facility and all appurtenances. Approximately 148 LF of 24" RCP storm sewer pipe and storm sewer structures and all appurtenances. Approximately 66 LF of 30" RCP storm sewer pipe and storm sewer structures and all appurtenances. Approximately 1,132 LF of backslope interceptor swales. Three (3) type E inlet structures and all appurtenances. Approximately 830 LF of five-inch (5") thick, six-foot (6') wide concrete pilot channel. Approximately 2690 square yards of five-inch (5") thick reinforced concrete slope paving. Storm Water Pollution Prevention Control PRE-BID CONFERENCE. A MANDATORY pre-bid conference among Owner, Engineer, prospective bidders, and others will be held to discuss the scope of the Work and to answer questions concerning the Work. No addendum will be issued at this conference, but an addendum will be issued afterwards, if necessary, to answer questions. The MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held at the time and place shown in the Invitation to bidders. Attendance by each prospective bidder or its representative at the pre-bid conference is MANDATORY, and no Bid will be opened unless the bidder or representative was present at the pre-bid conference. If an attendee fails to sign the attendance log, giving individual's name, firm represented, street address, and telephone number, Owner may treat such attendee as not having been present and as having failed to comply with the mandatory pre-bid conference requirement. No person shall represent more than one bidder at the pre-bid conference. If a person claims to represent more than one bidder at the pre-bid conference, the Bid of each bidder so represented will be returned unopened. SCOPE OF WORK The project consists of the following elements of work in connection with this development. 1. Site Preparation; 2. Approximately 250,000 CY of Excavation and Disposal; 3. Approximately 165 LF of 4'x3' RCB Storm Sewer and all Appurtenances; 4. Approximately 5,565 LF of Spoil Disposal Swales; 5. Two Reinforced CMU Wall Restrictors; and 6. Storm Water Pollution Prevention Control The limits of the Work are illustrated on the construction drawings. LOCATION OF WORK This project is located as illustrated on the vicinity map included with the construction drawings. The Work shall be performed within public right-of-way, on land owned by the Owner, or within easements or rights-of-way obtained by the Owner. Should the Contractor require use of additional space or construction easements, he shall make his own arrangements with the proper parties. Permits necessary for construction within existing rights-of-way as well as coordination necessary to obtain final acceptance by Waller County, Brookshire-Katy Drainage District, the City of Fulshear and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality are the responsibility of the Contractor and will be at the Contractor's expense. The Contractor shall comply with all Waller County specifications and standards applicable to construction within existing county right-of-way.
