Description

Area of Interest - Outfit an illumination functionality to all 52 sunshades without breaking concrete: Lighting functionality must be self-sustaining and controllable (on-off switch), with no reliance on existing power lines. Furthermore, the solution shall be scalable, meaning that the solution can be simple and flexible enough to be applied to one or more sunshades with no major costs, and deployable, meaning that military personnel can easily install the solution while forward deployed with minimal infrastructure. The solution must be loadable onto an HC-130 Hercules. Lights must adhere to airfield regulations, and the contractor's timeline must be coordinated with Airfield Management. The solution must be phase-able, meaning that it can be implemented on a per sunshade basis. Preventive maintenance procedures shall be provided to keep the proposed lighting solution in good working condition.
