Description

Question Deadline 02/21/2023 The project includes roadway widening and vertical alignment modifications from Eagle Ridge Drive to Wilson Lane for a total of approximately 2,500 LF. Additionally, the project involves the installation of driveway culverts and roadside storm ditches. The project also includes the installation of a retaining wall. The bids shall be unit price for all work shown on the plans and called for in the specifications and as detailed on the bid forms and in the information for bidders. The bidder must file with their sealed bid proposal, a certified check or a bid bond in the amount equal to ten (10) percent of the total bid, payable to the Town of Clarksville. The above check or bond is to insure the execution of the contract on which such bid is made. The qualified Contractor to whom the work is awarded shall furnish, within ten (10) days after the date of said contract award and before commencing work, a performance and payment bond in an amount equal to the bid price of the contract awarded to said contractor, and certificates of all insurance required by the Specifications. The Bid security of the three lowest Bidders will be retained until the Contract has been awarded and executed, but no longer than ninety (60) days from the date of opening Bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any proposal, or all proposals, or to accept any proposal or proposals, or to make such combination of proposals as may seem desirable, and to waive any and all informalities in bidding. Any proposal may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of proposals or authorized postponement thereof. Any proposal received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (60) days. A conditional or qualified Bid will not be accepted. Award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the project throughout. Female and Minority bidders are encouraged to bid. Bidders are encouraged to utilize local, female and minority sub-contractors. The Town of Clarksville is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
