Description | Site work for a civil project in Floresville, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project. Estimate: $1,145,079.00 The project consists of drilling and developing one Carrizo-Wilcox Aquifer well for the City of Floresville. The Plaza Well shall be constructed with 14-inch steel casing within a 20-inch borehole pressure cemented with an 18-inch under-reamed borehole. The well shall be screened with 8-inch diameter stainless steel screen on perforated steel pipe with 8-inch steel pipe liner. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of the contract, written by a responsible Surety Company, authorized to do business in the State of Texas. Financing of the Project has been provided by the City of Floresville and USDA Rural Development. The City of Floresville expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities. A Bidders failure to respond to the requested qualifications inquiry may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. Bids may be held by the City for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and researching bidders qualifications prior to the contract award. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term iron and steel products means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials.
