Description | The Nuclear Medicine Service needs a fume hood to replace old unit that is beyond repair. The fume hood needs to be specifically made to shield radioactivity used in nuclear medicine. The shielding should be built into the back, sides and bottom but also incorporate lead glass in the front. Fume Hood acceptable qualities: Class II, Type A2 Recirculating Exhaust Hood Integrated Supply and Exhaust HEPA Filtration (99.99+% @ 0.3 um) contains hazards while providing laminar ISO 5 air within the BSC Lead shielding (1/4", 1/2", 1" or 2") on sides, bottom and back Dose Calibrator Chamber flushed to countertop Lead shielding for dose calibrator chamber (1/4", 1/2", 1" or 2") Lead shielding for sharps container (1/4", 1/2", or 1") Must be 3 foot wide and include a base Item # Description/Part Number* Qty 0001 Labconco Logic + 3 Hood LABCONCO LOGIC + 3 HOOD CLASS II A2 HOOD 1/4 LEAD SHEILDING SIDE BACK & BOTTOM 1 3. Background: This is replacement equipment for the Imaging Service. This fume hood will allow the facility to continue to use radiopharmaceuticals for direct patient care. Current fume hood is beyond repair. |
