Laser Clinic Renovation

This project is located at UConn Health, 21 South Road, Farmington, CT and involves the renovation of approximately 1,100 SF on the 2nd Floor to create a consolidated laser clinic space. Contractor will be responsible for obtaining permits from the Town of Farmington. Construction activities will need to be coordinated in order to minimize the impact on adjacent occupied clinical spaces. With approximately 5,000 employees, UConn Health is a major economic driver in the region. It is closely linked with the University of Connecticut's main campus in Storrs through multiple, cross-campus projects. The Project consists of interior renovations to a suite of rooms located on the second floor of rented clinic space at 21 South Road, Farmington, CT known as Uconn Health's Department of Dermatology as required in these Specifications. B. The work shall consist of that identified on the Contract Documents to provide for interior construction and renovations to upgrade function and usability of the clinic. The work includes, but shall not be limited to the following: Demolition Removal of partitions Removal of flooring materials Removal of suspended ceiling system Removal of light fixtures, switches and receptacles Removal of HVAC diffusers and registers Removal of semi-recessed pendent style sprinkler heads Renovation Construction of metal framed and gypsum finished partitions Installation of new flooring materials Installation of new suspended ceiling system, including the re-installation of existing light fixtures, relocation of sprinkler heads, HVAC diffusers and registers Installation of new sink cabinets inclusive of plumbing fixtures, supply and waste piping Modifications to HVAC ductwork Installation of Owner supplied architectural accessories
