Description

Scope of services is : A. The Engineer agrees to perform professional services associated with the Project to include sprinkler design and engineering services. System shall be designed to be based on water sprinkled system with alternate to change to gas systems if possible. B. Design services shall include blueprints that meet local and national code (NFPA 13), current alarm monitoring tie-in, and changes to satisfy recommendations of Tulsa County’s Zurich Risk Assessment Report (see Attachment 1 for the relevant section of the Zurich report attached to this RFQ). C. Provide complete design of sprinkler system including component removal of previous system. Engineer shall prepare all construction documents, bid documents, and permit documents necessary for the County to solicit bids for the construction of the new sprinkler system in accordance with the provisions of the Public Competitive Bidding Act of 1974, Oklahoma Statutes, Title 61 § 101 et seq. Documents required by the Engineer include, but are not necessarily limited to: a. Bid documents; b. Complete specifications; c. Complete drawings in both CAD and PDF formats; and d. Construction documents (such as Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Clarification, Substitution Requests, Change Orders, Directives, Test Reports, Meeting Minutes, Addenda, and other correspondence). D. Attendance and participation in meetings associated with the solicitation for construction of the new sprinkler system. E. Provide bid review, tabulation, and recommendation for construction of the new sprinkler system. F. Contract administration and contractor/project oversight for construction of the new sprinkler system to include, but not be limited to, maintain a record of insurance certificates/coverage, submittal review and approvals, construction site observation, response to Requests for Information or Clarification, review of proposals, providing recommendations for modifications, on-site quality assurance observation to verify adherence to Construction Documents, review of payment applications, final inspection, and project closeout documentation. G. Following the acceptance of a firm’s qualifications, the firm shall provide Tulsa County their cost proposal. Once parties mutually agree on the fee schedule, the firm shall submit an agreement to Tulsa County for Engineering Services on the appropriate AIA Contract Document.
