| Description | Exhaust Air Handler #1 & #2 Fan Wall Retrofit and Multi-Stack Chiller Replacement at the Jean Mayer Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging (HNRC), Boston, MA. Description of Work: Base - Existing EAHU-1 & EAHU-2 shall be retrofitted for the installation of new fan wall systems. The work shall be phased in such a way that the isolation dampers are closed and one level of the air handler remains in operation while work is being conducted on the other. Asbestos Abatement: remove approximately 75 linear feet of non-friable mastic (sealant) on the exhaust air handler sound attenuators. Option – Chiller Replacement: The existing chiller and condenser units serving it shall be demolished. The existing structure supporting the condenser units shall be reused and modified as required for the installation of the new units. New chiller shall be Integrated into existing control system. The existing pumps serving the chiller shall be demolished and replaced with new Pumps. New pumps shall be integrated into the existing control system. |
