Description

As of August 2022, value engineering is underway. The owner is planning to place the project out for rebid at some point in the future. The project contemplated involves construction of improvements consisting of the following major components: Site work & subsurface preparation Construction of new Fleet and Warehouse facility. ACM remediation of existing building per NESHAP Survey. Demolition of existing building Completion of site work. Any questions regarding this Invitation to Bid must be e-mailed and received by 2:00 p.m. on January 24, 2022. Responses will be issued via e-mail no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 28, 2022. All e-mail correspondence shall be sent to Mr. Marc Rohde, AIA, LEED AP. Mcrohde@williams-architects.com. Each bid must be submitted, with three (3) complete copies of each on the prescribed Proposal forms and accompanied by Bid security on the prescribed form, payable to the City of New Port Richey, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the base bid amount. The outside of the envelope must be clearly marked with the proposer's name and full address along with "ITB22-005 Fleet Maintenance and Warehouse Facility Project." The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the Contract, as prescribed in the Contract Documents. All Bid Bonds, Contract Bonds, Insurance Contracts and Certificates of Insurance shall be either executed by or countersigned by a licensed resident agent of the surety or insurance company having his/her place of business in the State of Florida. Further, the said surety or insurance company shall be duly licensed and qualified to do business in the State of Florida. Insurance coverage is required for this project. Prior to contract signing, the contractor must furnish Certificates of General Liability, Vehicle Liability, and Workman's Compensation insurance in amounts not less than $1,000,000 to the City. All insurance coverage shall be written by companies licensed to do business in Florida and shall be administered by a Florida registered agent. In order to perform public work, the successful Bidder shall, as applicable, hold or obtain such Contractors' and Business Licenses as required by state statues. The right is reserved to reject all Proposals or any Proposal not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents, and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time, which, however, shall not extend beyond 90 days from the Proposal opening date. In order to perform public work, the successful Bidder shall, as applicable, hold or obtain such Contractors' and Business Licenses as required by Florida state statues and City requirements. Before a Contract will be awarded for the work contemplated herein, the Owner will conduct such investigations as is necessary to determine the performance record and ability of the apparent low Bidder to perform the size and type of work specified under the Contract. Upon request, the Bidder shall submit such information as deemed necessary by the Owner to evaluate the Bidder's qualifications. Summary Project Description: Demolition of an existing fleet maintenance facility, and construction of an all new Fleet Maintenance and Warehouse Facility, including sitework, utilities, landscaping, and other items as shown on the drawings and specified herein.
