Description | Hays County Water Control and Improvement District No. 2 will accept sealed bids for the construction of the Belterra Trail Extension. 'The work to be performed includes furnishing all matenals, equipment, tools, and labor necessary for the construction of 184 linear feet of 4- foot decomposed granite trail, 9,680 linear feet of 4-foot nature trail, and a concrete creek crossing which consists of 8-24" RCPs of approximately 24 linear feet each. The trail begins at the northwest end of Mesa Verde and continues south around the edge of the subdivision and then northeast to connect with an existing portion of trail with two loops and an additional entrance off of Angelina Valley Drive. The work shall also include installation, maintenance and removal of crosion and sedimentation controls in accordance with the contract documents, and all local, state, and federal requirements. The OWNER reserves the night to waive all informalities and irregularities, and determine which Bids are most advantageous to the Project, and to award the Contract on this basis. Performance, payment, and warranty bonds shall each be issued in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Amounts as security for all the CONTRACTOR' obligations under the Contract Documents. INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: Bidders shall maintain insurance in the types and amounts indicated the Contract Documents. BID GUARANTY: All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of five percent (5%) of Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a cashier's check made payable to Hays County Water Control and Improvement District No. 2, or a Bid Bond issued by a surety. Bidders and subcontractors shall have completed at least three (3) similar projects in nature within the last five (5) years. All Work shall be guaranteed against defective workmanship and matenials for a period of two (2) years from the date of final acceptance by the OWNER |
