Description

The City of Tempe (City) is seeking proposals from vendors to furnish and install photovoltaic (PV) light emitting diode (LED) lighting systems on City bus stop passenger shelters, pole mounted systems at bus stops without shelters, and repair parts for new and currently installed systems. The resulting contract will be for a period of one (1) year with four (4), one-year renewal options, exercisable based upon future needs and performance of the awarded firm. The City is looking for high quality, high performance and reliable solar powered LED lighting systems. Provided components must be capable of operating under extreme weather conditions encountered in the Phoenix area. Both types of PV LED lighting systems shall be in production at the time of the submitted offer. Lighting systems atop passenger shelters shall supply sufficient energy storage for the LED lights(s) to remain on from dusk to dawn. Pole mounted lighting systems shall be button activated and remain on for a minimum of 5 minutes per activation.
