Description | Cattaraugus County Land Bank is requesting cost proposals to perform asbestos air sampling, testing and project monitoring services in accordance with the Industrial Code Rule 56 (12 NYCRR Part 56) for 4 building demolition projects. The demolition projects consist of: (Please see Bid Package for detailed description of each property): 41 First Avenue Franklinville: There was asbestos material identified. (1) Glazing on 25 windows- 60 sq/ft (2) 9x9 tiles/ mastic over wood, 1st floor rear of building - 150 sq. ft. 181 S. Main Portville: Survey was not able to be completed due to the risk of bio-hazard from the air quality; the entire structure and its contents should be considered friable asbestos material. There is at least 300 cubic yards of asbestos material on site. 701 Irving Street Olean: There were asbestos materials identified: (1) the window glaze is asbestos containing on 15 windows (45 sq/ft). (2) Entire first floor - 1200 sq/ft of 9x9 tiles and mastic over wood floor (kitchen) and under carpet and under the luan subfloor in the first floor living area and rear bedroom. No friable asbestos materials or TSI asbestos material were identified. The homes interior is littered with household furnishings, garbage, food, flies and animals. Unsafe air environment. Demo as a non-friable asbestos. 1657 Seneca Avenue Olean: There were asbestos material identified. (1) The window glaze is asbestos containing on 15 windows (45sq/ft). (2) 2 sq./ft of asbestos tape was identified in the basement on the furnace. Please include the costs for providing your own electric source for air sampling in your proposal. The Cost proposal should include a price per day for air monitoring (construction and background) with an estimated number of days of monitoring for each site, a lump sum cost per structure for project monitoring services and any reimbursable expenses (testing, mileage, generator rental, etc....).
